Gloria Stewart on CBS (March 11)

She was a guest tonight and she mentioned something about her line in the movie when she looks at her drawing: "Yes, dear, it is me. Wasn't I a dish?" According to the script, "dish" was supossed to be "number" and she felt bad about it. So she told Cameron that she was not happy about it and he told her "Be my guest. What do you have in mind?" "I don't know right now. I have to think about it."

She invited Kate Winslet to her house to meet each other and study each other's talk, gesture and ways. They drank a bottle of champagne together and became good friends.

Gloria S. said that she did not know how big this production was until she saw the many acres of the ship. The male garderobe (sp.?) took one acre, the same with the ladies' one...

Wasn't she just charming? I have to say that when I read the script I didn't like the phrase "hot number." "Dish" sounds so much more lady like, more like what someone brought up in those years would have said. Bravo to Gloria, one of the many contributions she made to this wonderful movie. I have my fingers crossed for her on Oscar night, she really deserves it!
