Anyone heard of work being done by builders of cogeneration facilities to investigate Y2K compliance of their plants? I've not seen anything from the oil majors stating that these on-site power plants are critical pieces of Y2K-challenged equipment for the operation of refineries, yet many use them for their primary source of electrical power. Not sure why; it may be an ownership issue, as many are built in collaboration with local power companies, with excess power from these plants being sold back to the local company.
