There are predictions that it will surpass the 460M mark of Star Wars when it bags the Best Picture award in the forthcoming Oscar Awards. What do you think?

I predict about 480 million dollars or more before the Oscars night. "Titanic" will surpass "Star Wars" after next weekend. But it will eventually lose some steam later with the arrival of "The Man in the Iron Mask" on March 13.

We did it again this past weekend! But only barely. "U.S. Marshals" (the new Tommy Lee Jones movie) almost caught "Titanic"; the margin was $18 million to $17 million.

One more week at number 1 and Titanic will tie the record for most weeks at number 1, at least according to the SF Chronicle.

Yes, domestic weekend BO was $18.0 million. The movie is doing very well abroad, a ticket in Moscow being (re)sold for $25, Russian girls saying it's not expensive!!! China hasn't vene started yet showing "Titanic". The French alone paid $70 million.
