Kenny G version of MHWGO

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TitanicShack : One Thread

While listening to the radio as I was getting dressed for work this morning, I heard a new version of a tune familiar to many since 12/19/97. Jazz sax artist Kenny G has released a instrumental single of "My Heart Will Go On." The DJ indicated that it was a new release. I don't know what label he records with, but that would be a good place to check.

Cheers!

Oh God, no! Say it isn't so! Please, please, please tell me this is just a sick joke! It's hard to imagine much worse, but how about Streisand and Yanni at the Acropolis with special guest - John Tesh. :-)

I haven't heard the Kenny G. instrumental version yet. Here's the scoop on its availability: It has been released as a CD single that is available only when you purchase his latest CD, which is a Greatest Hits compilation. So you'll have to pay about $13.99 or so to get it (if it isn't sold out, like I've seen in many record stores already). I saw it available in an Internet auction and the bidding was up to $20 already. Maybe for those of us who want all things Titanic (especially if they are affordable), it will eventually be released as a separate CD single.

I tried the above link, and there appears to be a new URL: http:// www.area-23.com/titanic/index.htm. There will be a javascript error upon load-in; just ignore it.
