Does anyone have a reliable means of dating pieces of equipment? I have a P6X7 (unable to locate S/N) and a Super-Multi-Coated Takumar/6X7 with chrome ring out front. Any idea of approximate date of manufacture?

Answers

There is a dating code stamped in ink inside the back of the camera, I believe, under the supply film roll. The service department at Pentax in Colorado (303) 799-8000 might be able to help you decode this.
