Help! I am looking for a poem for my mom. She remembers pieces of it but not the name or the author. Poem is about a "stone in the river" and the waters rushing around it. She's been trying to find it for the longest time (about 2 years) but no avail. She seems to remember that it was written by an American poet in the late 1800's or early 1900's. I know it's not much to go on but when ever we get together she brings up wanting to find the poem. It seems to be so important to her so I thought I would try to find it for her if I could.

So, if this sounds in the least bit familiar or if you have ANY suggestions of where I could begin a search on the Net please let me know.
