"The Night Lives On" back in print!

Great (but not totally unexpected) news! I've heard today from several subscribers to Mark Taylor's Titanic Discussion list that "The Night Lives On," Walter Lord's follow-up book to "A Night to Remember," is back on the bookshelves. The book has been out of print for several years, but evidently the popularity of the film (plus ANTR's climb to #3 on the New York Times' bestseller list) convinced the publisher to re-release it.

If you haven't got this one, grab it quick. It is evidently available at Barnes and Noble.

Cheers!

I've also seen it available at Borders and Waldenbooks this week. It costs $5.99 and goes nicely with the current printing of "A Night to Remember." I also just picked up "Titanic: A Survivor's Story" by Colonel Archibald Gracie in a trade paperback edition for $14.95. This was my 2nd time in three days buying "Titanic" books and magazines and the clerk recognized me. She asked if I had seen the movie yet; I said that I've seen it 5 times...that it has pulled me into the whole story. Then she proceeded to retrieve an item from her car for me....a promotional poster for the "Titanic" soundtrack!! She said she wanted to give it to someone who would really appreciate it!! Well, she made my day!!

Happy to say, my copy that I have had for years is still in original condition. Glad to see it is out again and I wish I could find my copy of ANTR! Regards, Peter

Kathleen,

That's fantastic. Doesn't it always get you when people show you unexpected kindness. What a great story!
