Indoor Girl {why is the line humourous?}

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TitanicShack : One Thread

I had a question about a line that Jack said. He told Rose that she seemed more like "an indoor girl to me". I always chuckle at this part (because of the face that Jack makes) but I don't really get *why* others think that it is funny. Could someone help me out here? Thanx! :)

Response to Indoor Girl

Laura: I think it was a little bit of a reference to her status as a first class passenger, a little dig to get her to open up.
