Has anyone had any experience with, or opinions about the durability and life expectancy of the CN negatives. I have heard rumors.

I think there was a question like this asked on photo.net a while ago, and as I recall the answer is that it should have the same life as other color negative materials. I don't know exactly what that is, but I gather it's expected to be considerably less than traditional black and white negative materials that are processed "archivally".

Kip is right. T-Max 400CN is a chromogenic film, and its archival properties should be the same as color negative film. I have some 12-year-old Ilford XP-1 that still looks good and prints well. As I remember, the expected life for chromogenic films is about 25 years.
