I am triying to find out if Cal, Rose and Jack wer actual passangers aboard the ship. Can anyone Help

Response to Characters based on real passengers

They were all fictional characters. Rose was the name of Cameron's grandmother. There was a man named J. Dawson who died on the Titanic. He was a crew who worked in the boiler room. There was also a passenger named Tommy Ryan. Cameron didn't know these things until he had written the script.
