Cry?

Hi, I know some of you had seen the movie quite a few times, and I was wondering if any of you cried. If yes, how many times? I saw the movie 4 times and cried every time. Also, when I heard the re-mix version of "My heart.."

Icried everytime I saw it but I cried even harder when Rose jumps out of the boat and when she lets Jack go.

Many times during some powerful and emotional scenes.

prostrate in the darkness, tears streaming down my face, i wept like a injured child. the death, the bueaty, the fear, the excitement. all coalesced into my catharsis. i still hear her. over and over, in that haughting voice in the cold "jack.. jack.." his hand, cold and limp. she knew. he was gone. even now i must struggle to stay my tears. titanic, the ideal. true, unspoken love.

i ask you.. how could you not cry, how could you not be touched by their love?

I went and saw it again last night for the third time, and yes I cried, I made it all the way to when the musicians played and all you hear is their music, and then you see shots of several scenes....The elderly couple holding each other as water swirls in around them, and for me the scene I can never get through (all 3 times) the mother telling her children a bedtime story, they are so comforted by their mothers voice and touch, they have no idea what is about to happen. I have tears in my eyes even now as I type this. (I have two young children of my own, and CANNOT imagine having the strenght and courage to ease my children and comfort them, knowing that all of us will suffer a horrendous death)

I think I even cried harder this time, when Rose realizes that Jack is gone, he looks soooo peaceful, and the pain that Rose must feel in her heart must be unbearable. And when she lets him go!!!! Tears just poured down my face. I told my husband, that I simply cannot go back anymore, 3 times is enough for me, for now. I don't think I could bear it anymore

I cried all seven times I saw it. The only consolation I had was that they do end up together in eternity. Rose must have had a difficult life to live without Jack, but they did end up together.

I cry listening to the soundtrack and even when I'm just thinking about certain scenes. No movie has ever made me cry so hard. I've never been so moved.

Well, I'm really not a crier. In fact a movie hasn't made me cry since Old Yeller' . This movie has made me cry all four times I have seen it. The first time I saw it I cried in the theater and then came home and cried forever. This might sound crazy but it really felt good to cry for Jack and Rose. I mean it made me feel like I was really a part of the story and had been there and experienced it all. I even feel like a better person after seeing the movie. It gave me hope that there actually could be some Jack Dawsons out there! somewhere?!

I've seen the movie four times and I've cried every time. Especially at the part where Rose jumps out of the lifeboat and the entire scene with Jack and Rose after the ship sinks. But the last time I saw it I started crying when Jack was on the bow and he and Fabrizo (?) are crowing and the 'King of the World' line. -Rachel

Yes, Yes, Yes, (Sob) I cry even now just thinking about it!

I have only seen this movie once and I did not cry during it but the movie just devoured me in the aftermath after I thought about it for a while. It was the best movie I have ever seen and just my memories of it can make me sad now. And yes, I think that the movie has made me a better person. It makes you realize how "rich" Jack was versus Cal and guess what, that is really all that matters in life (how rich you are in your heart.) Just thinking about what they had together (albeit for a short time) tears me up inside.

I cried three out of the five times I have seen this movie. The first time i did not cry because I was in shock. The third time I did not cry because I saw it with my brother, his friend, and his friend's baby sister. Guess who had to go wee-wee when the band started to play "Nearer My God To Thee"? Guess who had to take her? Guess who didn't get back until after Jack died? Anyways, I went with a guy friend the 5th time who cried only (get this) when the officer shot himself. He said that that was the only sad part of the movie. Whatever. I must have some weird karma or something. 0=(

I cried only as old Rose finished telling her story the first time I saw it. I was so engrossed in the movie I'm not even sure I was breathing! I'm sure when I see it a second time, I will cry the whole way through it, just thinking about what is to come.

Caron, I have to agree, with a son of my own I thought of trying to comfort him at such a difficult time. It would take every bit of strength I had. I got home and just held my son, glad that I had him. That part is one that will stay with me forever.

I'm not a real cryer at movies but every one of the 8 times I saw it by the end credits I could hardly move! I've never cried so hard. I guess I got into it so much that I felt so devastated by everything that happened. I cant even listen to the soundtrack without crying!!

I've cried all four times I've seen it. The first time, I cried all the way from when the iceberg hit until the end. The second, third, and fourth times, I cried on and off thru the whole movie. The part that really gets me started, though -- every time -- is when Jack and Rose find Mr. Andrews in the smoking room, and he says to her, "I'm sorry I didn't build you a stronger ship, young Rose." From then until the end, I can hardly see thru the tears.

i have seen the movie eight times and have cried every time. in fact, i cry harder every time i see it. and each time i start crying sooner than the time before. the last time i saw it icried at the begin when the show all the people waving on the deck and the music is playing. this is definitely the best movie i have ever seen. even if i am listening to the soundtrack ihave to hold back tears. by the end of the movie i can't see the screen without straining. every one has said that i have seen the movie too many times but i say that i will know when that happens when i don't cry anymore(which isn't going to be soon,if it ever even happens):(

I've seen Titanic eight times. I didn't cry the first time, but when I went for the second time the story just hit me and I cried my eyes out and still do. I even cry when their flying and when their in the gym. And I have never EVER been emotional before. Everyday I thank James Cameron, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Kate Winslet for bringing out the emotional side of me. THANK YOU!!!!!!

This was the first movie to make me cry. All 8 times.

-- Amanda (AMANDA@prodigy.net), June 16, 1998.

Okay, I started crying when Rose was looking up at Jack in the lifeboat, then when she had to let him slip away into the water and finally when they were reunited at the clock. I also got teary when the Irish mother tucked her children into bed and when it showed Ida and Isador Strauss hugging each other on the bed. I can't think of a better way to go than in the arms of your loved one.

I really don't remember the number of times I've seen this movie....I've lost count, but every SINGLE time, I have cried. It starts in the beginning with the old Rose, looking at her old mirror and hair clips. It tapers off until Jack meets her and from then on, everytime they play that damn music, I tear up immediately! I really don't think that it's only the story of Jack and Rose that makes us cry. I think that this movie touches on every type of love and emotion: an elderly couple, a mother and her children, a man who loves his creation, but then feels like a failure and puts all the blame on himself, newly-married couples....everything you can think of, it touches on. THAT'S why I think this movie is one of the greatest ever. ONLY THING: DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE BY YOURSELF!! You won't be able to breathe through your nose for a month!!

I'm not much of a crier, but I admit it--I've cried every time I've seen Titanic.

Related to crying, though, I heard this on the radio and thought y'all might enjoy it:

A mother took her young daughter to see Titanic. The little girl sat enthralled through the entire movie, captivated by what she saw and felt. As they were leaving, they passed a woman who couldn't contain her sobbing. The little girl went to the sobbing woman and said to her--"Don't cry. Rose is with her Jack now."
