Titanic obsessers

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TitanicShack : One Thread

hello. I was just wondering if anyone knows of a site for titanic obsessers. In other words TA (titanic annonymous). This is not a joke. I have heard people talking of this site, and do not believe them. My friend and i are fighting on whether or not it is true. If you can help me, i'd greatly appreciate it. thanks.

You can surely check my 'obsession' pages: http://www.angelfire.com/oh/banatiandragon/titanic1.html It has comments, symbols, lines from the script, links etc.

I have seen this beautiful and tragic movie 7 times. My mother says that I am obsessed, and I get teased quite a lot for my "obsession". Still, thanks to this site and numerous others, I feel that I am not alone in my "addiction"! I would love to hear from others who are repeat viewers, fellow Titaniacs, either of the fictious love story or of the legend of the ship herself. Are there others out there who feel that places such as this are their only means of support and understanding? Are there others out there who are laughed and ridiculed for being so in love with this part of the past? Let me know! :-)

There needs to be a sort of support group for Titanomaniacs. I have to constantly pull my wife away from people that sneer the film. She'll go to her grave defending it for being the greatest film of all time.

The site for you obsessed people is:

http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Studio/2277/titanicpage.html

There are pages of obsession signs and a 12 step programme among many other interesting things. Also they have set up a fanfiction page at the same site

Enjoy and Good luck!

I am a titanic fanatic! I just received the "Heart of the Ocean" necklace from the J. Peterman Catalog, and it is as beautiful as it is in the movie! The sapphire is brilliant, and the "diamonds" are beautiful! I just love to wear it!

Cheers!

My friend Melissa and I wrote the "getting famous" twelve step program to overcoming Titanic Obsession. This list of steps is posted on several sites on the web now, including Melissa's own home page:

http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Bungalow/4206/index.html

Melissa and I had a great time creating the twelve steps...we hope that they make you all laugh and smile.

The thing to remember is we love TITANIC as much as all of you do and we are clearly VERY OBSESSED!!!!!!

Want more TITANIC? E-mail SABLDC@aol.com and ask to be put on the mailing list for THE SHIP OF DREAMS newsletter. By far the best newsletter on the net, it deals with updates on the status of LEO, Kate, the movie, the ship and anything else TITANIC-related. It has a history section devoted to information solely concerning the ship and nothing else. There are links in each newsletter to different TITANIC-related web sites. There are member sections and things for members to do. The next issue should be out in a day or two, followed by every third week or so after that. Take care all, and hope to see you onboard the SHIP OF DREAMS!!!
