Digital black & white photography

Mason says in the "Making the Cut" section it is allright to ask the contributors to this forum to look at my web site. Just last week for my 70th birthday a wonderful aunt of mine gave me a digital camera the Agfa ePhoto 1280. It has been several years since I have been active in photography and now I am reactivated. I have never had an interest in color photography but since this is a color system and the images can only be converted to black and white in the associated software some of the images on this web page are color. I do have a couple of black and white images and hope to have more soon. I would like to invite you to visit this web page and if you feel so inclined give me your comments. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on digital photography in general. Remember I am old so be gentle. ;-) Thanks The URL is: http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Lofts/9083/dindexz.html

Happy Birthday, belatedly!! By the way, how old is your aunt, she must be nearly 100 :) I see digital photography as a valuable additional tool to our 'traditional' (chemical) photography. However, what is most important, in my view, is to learn to see, pure and simple. I am not interested in the 'digital is better than chemical' type of discussion.
