What is the running time of the movie in real life?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TitanicShack : One Thread

I've been timing Titanic every time I've seen it:

~3:12:15 Station Square 7 (Metrotown mall), Burnaby, BC
~3:14:34 Capitol 6 (Granville street mall), Vancouver, BC
 3:13:11 Paramount theatre, Lethbridge, Alberta
3:12:14 Station Square 7 (Metrotown mall), Burnaby, BC
 3:12:15 "

The official running time is 3:14. What are the running times that you've noticed?

Last time I saw the movie, It started at 4:00 and ended at 7:15 or so. I'd say the whole thing was about 3 hours and 10 minutes, not counting the comercials.

Officially, 207 minutes.

Or 195 minutes, according to Mr.Showbiz

I've seen the movie in a few different theatres. In one, there was a definite cut of about a minute or so in the scene with Jack and Fabrizzio at the bow watching the dolphins. It totally ruined the scene. I suspect there might have been a problem with the print and it was spliced, cutting out the defective section. I wonder if what Thomas observed, however, may have been due to different projector speeds. The variation in running time is less than 1%.
