Hi! I absolutly LOVE this movie!!! Don't we all? I just heard the Titanic theme song ("My Heart Will Go On") with sound clips from the movie, and it was great! Are they realeasing this everywhere? Will we be able to buy it? I know it's not on the soundtrack, but the sountrack is still the best!!! Has anyone else heard this version of what has to be one of the most beautiful songs?

pookie, where did you heard this? Please tell me! I didn't know they did one of those things. Anyway, If I hear anything, I'll let you know.

-- Colleen (Colleendi@earthlink.net), January 26, 1998.

AWWWWWWW...I have heard this version...I live in GA and here--it was on Star94. I LOVE THIS VERSION!!!!! I heard it while I was in my car and I started crying as I was driving. Anyway, I dont know anything about them releasing it, though I hope they would....but I did record it off the radio so I can listen to it again and again!!!!!

-- MJ (love1028@aol.com), January 27, 1998.

I was just wondering, in the version you hear on the radio, exactly what quotes from the movie are in it? Because a station around me plays a version with quotes (Michigan), and the station claims to have made the mixed version themselves, saying you can't hear it anywhere else. Obviously this is false, so I was just curious as to whether or not our versions were the same. Thanks!

-- EJane (jkarary@umich.edu), January 27, 1998.

hello, i have yet to hear this remixed version of the song, but was told the following about it: it is made by a radio station in new york. They are the same people who did the jerrry maguire remix. Supposedly it has been sent to one or more radio stations in every area of the US. You can e-mail this station at writeus@plj.com in your e-mail, just say you were wondering where you could get info on the remix of celine dion's song. remember to tell them which area you are located and they will supposedly get back to you. I wrote to the station yesterday, and have not yet recieved a response, so i don't know if it is true. hope this is of some help.

-- Kate (r_dawson23@hotmail.com), January 27, 1998.

at the c2t site there is a download available of the re-mix for real audio. It is awesome

In the Detroit area, there are two stations playing this mixed version of "My Heart Does Go On." And they each play a different version!! One does claim to have done their own mix, so maybe the other station is using the NYC radio station's version.

I've checked with my local record store and they don't believe that "My Heart Does Go On" will be released as a single in any version. So you had better tape it off the radio if you want the mixed version.

-- Kathleen Marcaccio (dkosh@msn.com), January 28, 1998.

I e-mailed my local radio station today and the guy played it for me. It was great. I cried.

-- Colleen (colleendi@earthlink.net), January 28, 1998.

Hey. I live in suburbs of Philadelphia, and the radio stations around here play two versions of the song with the film dialogue, each with different excerpts from the movie. The stations are Q102 and Star104.5.

-- Rose (rosemarie17@hotmail.com), January 29, 1998.

Kathleen--

I too live in the Detroit area. What stations are playing it? I have heard it on Q95, and I believe they are claiming to have made their own version. Which other station is it on also? Thank you so much, for I really want to tape it!!

-- EJane (jkarary@umich.edu), January 29, 1998.

there are indeed 2 versions of the 'dialogue' remix of "My Heart Will Go On". the first version, where it starts with Rose saying, "It's no bigger than the Maurtenia..." that was done by the radio station here, in New York City, WPLJ 95.5FM. they are the brains behind the Jerry Maguire remix. 2nd version is the old Rose recounting the voyage on the TITANIC. and the very recent is the version with South Park.

-- M.M. (masima@earthlink.net), January 30, 1998.

I heard three versions of the re-mix. The only difference between 2 was the last part. One has mixed dialogues and the other was "the promise".

-- Colleen (colleendi@earthlink.net), February 01, 1998.

In the Detroit area, there are two radio stations playing "My Heart Will Go On" with dialogue, each with different clips. 93.1 (WDRQ) and 95.5 (WKQI) are the two stations. The WDRQ version is longer and has wonderful additional clips. Enjoy!!

-- Kathleen Marcaccio (dkosh@msn.com), February 02, 1998.

I'm devasted and a little embarressed. I lobbied my local Seattle Radio Station STAR 101.5 to get it and play it. Well they did and now they play it all the time. I'm embarressed to admit it, but I was really disappointed. It really ruined the song for me. Without the dialogue it is so mournful and lonely. Maybe if they kept the "Are you ready to go to Titanic" at the beginning and then Rose and Jack's promises at the end..and let the song go on in the middle.

Sigh... Maybe we didn't get the "good" version.

I live in the Twin Cities metro area in Minnesota and I've only heard the version that ends with "the promiss" on KDWB 101.3 Has anyone found out a way to get it besides taping it off the radio?

-- Kara (maciolek@stolaf.edu), February 13, 1998.

I'm in Wichita, Kansas. We have 1 version with "My Heart Will Go On" and 1 with one of the instrumental tracks from the soundtrack (#3 Southampton, I think).

I have to agree that Celine's song with additional movie sound clips ruined the song a bit for me too.

However, Southampton with the additional clips is great! It matches much better since there were no words to begin with.

-- Becky Gordon (becky.gordon@pfs.sprint.com), February 13, 1998.

I finally got to hear "Southampton" on the radio last evening. While I wasn't really disappointed, it did not live up to my expectations. I heard that James Cameron and James Horner actually picked the dialogue clips to go with this music, I believe that they overdid the dialogue. I was hoping for lots of lush music with some dialogue, a la "Chariots of Fire" which was probably the last instrumental movie soundtrack single release to hit No. 1. I enjoyed hearing more snippets of dialogue, but there were a couple of gaps in the continuity of the dialogue. And I would have like to hear more "Old Rose" phrases!! And finally, I was quite disappointed with the inclusion of "I'd rather be his whore than your wife" especially because this song is played mostly on the radio stations that my children (ages 10 and 12) listen to. Of course, my boys have seen the movie several times so I didn't have to explain it to them, but I really don't care to hear that in the middle of the song. I will still buy the single version if/when it is available for purchase.

Now, about the "My Heart Will Go On" radio mixes (we've got at least two different ones here in the Detroit area), I love them!! I get teary-eyed and goosebumps listening to them and I never tire of hearing the song, even playing it 3 or 4 times in a row while driving to work. Every time it comes on the radio, we crank the volume and sing along!! Does it get any better than this???

-- Kathleen Marcaccio (dkosh@msn.com), February 13, 1998.

I fell cheated!!! I'm in Tennessee and so far I haven't heard any of these on the radio. i did hawever track them down here on the net and record them but of course that made the quality of them a little bit worse. oh well at leat i have them. I love them both. I think South Hampton is Great because they have so many woderful sound clips. I like My Heart Will Go On as well because it has some of my Favorite sound clips like "jack, I want you to draw me like one of your French girls. Wearing this. 'Alright' Wearing ONLY this." And the way they end both SouthHampton and My Heart Will Go On with the "Promise" sound clip....is there ANY other way to end these songs??? I sure hope not!!!

-- Miranda Swearingen (Kylen1@hotmail.com), February 15, 1998.

I want to find those versions too. I haven't been able to tape it off the radio or anything. Do you know where i can get it?

-- Emily V. (73602.67@compuserve.com), February 16, 1998.

I have only heard one version of "My heart will go on," with the movie clips. I absolutely love it. Unlike most, I actually enjoy the song much more with these sound bites. I haven't heard "Southampton" yet, but I can't wait because that is my second favorite song on the soundtrack (after 'Rose'), it's so uplifting and exhilerating. If anyone happens to get any information on whether these special versions of the songs will be available for purchase in stores, let me know! Also, I'm in the San Francisco area, and the only station I've found that plays the movie version of MHWGO is 95.7, if anyone from this area knows of other stations playing the song, please let me know!

First of all: Titanic is still my # 1 movie. Simply can't get enough of it.

Second: There are several versions of "My Heart Will Go On" out there, one of which I really like is the "Hollywood Mix". It starts out with "Southampton" (with sound clips from the movie) and then goes over to "My Heart Will Go On".

Does anyone know if that specific mix is available on CD?

Thanks! ;-)
