I was just wondering what everyone's favorite scene in the movie is. I know it's tough to pick one so just name all the one's you like. my favorite has to be the drawing scene, the third class dance, and the very last scene. But then, the every other scene runs a real close second!

the whole movie was absolutely amazing, but my favorite parts are the ending on the driftwood, and the dinner scene. I loved how jack took all of the negetive comments ruth and cal were making towards him and turning it around completely.

I have several of them. Though, the movie is EXCELLENT!!! My fave scenes are: " I'm Flying " scene where Jack teaches Rose how to "Fly", the party at steerage scene, the scene where Rose hurls herself from the boat to be with Jack instead of saving herself(" You jump, I jump, right? "),the nude sketch scene(absolutely!!!!), and the last scene. But the scene that BREAKS my heart is where Jack tells Rose to keep "the Promise". I just get teary eyed thinking about it.

The entire movie was EXCELLENT but my favorite scenes are probably the last scene where Jack and Rose are reunited, when Rose jumps off the lifeboat to be with Jack, when Jack and Rose first meet when Rose is about to jump off the ship, and the 'flying' scene. Cheers!

I would have to agree, that all the scenes in the movie are the best! Because TITANIC is the BEST!! But if I had to pick best it would be: The "promise" scene when Rose is on the driftwood, I knew then and there that Jacks chances were not good. (sob) Then I would have to pick the steerage dance scene (what fun!) Then last, but not least the scene where Jack is drawing Rose nude, the comments to each other were funny!

it's quite hard to depict a best scene because the entire movie had plenty, but if i was asked the most memorable scene it would be when Rose and Jack kiss for the first time at the bow of the ship, hence, the flying scene-the music just took my breath away.

and when Jack is sketching Rose-that got my heart pumping, especially when the piano version went into play-never have i seen such lovely, well directed, beautiful scene in a movie.

Okay, the whole movie was great, but the scene that I thought was just beautiful was when Rose and Jack made love in the car and afterwards he's shaking and Rose says, "you're trembling" and he says, "I'll be okay."

I'm in the minority again, but the scene that has stuck with me the most was the last scene with the ship's musicians on the boat deck, and the series of vignettes of the Irish mother reading to her two children, the Strausses in their bed, the priest quoting from Revelation, and the other quick shots of passengers preparing to face the end, all while the musicians play "Nearer My God To Thee." To me it was the most powerful moment of the film, and a wonderful tribute to some brave men, Wallace Hartley and his fellow musicians. Just recounting the scene now brings tears to my eyes again.

To Kip: I agree on all counts as does my wife. They never said in the film who the elderly couple was that were embracing on the bed as the ship was sinking but I think it was pretty obvious who they were. The mother tucking in her two children was an absolutely heartbreaking scene. Wallace Hartley and co. were absolute heroes and I believe they are remembered in that manner to this day and rightfully so! Regards..Peter

To answer the question about the best scene is really a headache. But i'm gonna go out a limb and say the last scene when rose meets jack at the clock was first. However, I would say that there are two kinds of scenes.( the up and the down scenes) on the up I have to say, when jack is at dinner and turns things around, when rose changes her mind, and goes to meet jack at the bow. On the down I would have to say the ENTIRE SINKING OF THE SHIP!

The views of the titanic from way above. I don't think I have ever seen anything so piercing as the site of the titanic's flare as such a tiny speck in a dark, dark ocean and then later the white specks of the lifejackets.

I still cry when I think of the scenes with the mother tucking her children into bed, the frozen mother and baby, the father and son overcome by the water in the hallway. I don't know what I'd do...

I agree with you Courtney. Everything relating to the cab was excellent, even though I know it wasn't the most fun thing to film. I love the steerage party and when Rose spits and Cal's face and when she calls him an "unimaginable basterd." The flying scene, as it is being called, is great because it is Jack and Rose's first kiss and because of the sunset. I also like the scene when Jack teaches Rose to spit, simply because of the comedy.

I can't just pick one scene so I'll mention them as they come to me. Luncheon scene where Rose insults Mr. Ismay, scene where Jack and Rose meet, the flying scene, the dinner scene (by far..I love this scene!), the third class steerage party, the drawing of the portrait (be still my heart looking at Jack's eyes), the scene where Rose gets on the boat..then gets off, the scene where Jack dies, and lastly the final five minutes had me bawling like a baby.

Well, everyone has already mentioned all of the greater than great moments, however, I'd like to add one that was truly touching..when Jack and Rose are struggling to find the right key to open the gate after the steward drops the ring of keys and the water level is at their necks. He says to her, "Which key is it, Rose?" and she says, "I think it's the small one!" Here he is, about to die, and he's asking her for advice on which key to try--and LISTENING to her suggestion! (sigh...) The ultimate in trust and partnership.

I don't think that I would call this a "Best Scene", but one scene that blew me away (I also heard my husband whisper "oh, my god", otherwise he said very little during the movie) The scene where right after the ship is completely gone and there is this TREMENDOUS SILENCE just before the shouting begins, you start with Rose coming up for air and she can't find Jack, then the camera pans back and then all you see are the hundreds of people left floating in the sea and screaming! I get chills right now just thinking about it.

Well, I'm glad everyone here agrees that Titanic is the best movie ever made, so it's hard to choose what scene is the best.After seeing the movie (my 2nd time and my friend's 1st) I think she said it best: "I never want to see that movie again *sob*...... let's go see it again tommorrow.. " : ) ANYway, one of my favorite parts is when Rose says to Cal "I'd rather be his whore than your wife" then spits in his face.. : )

Hands down the "Best" scene in the entire film is when Rose jumps from the lifeboat back onto Titanic. At that moment, my heart jumps out of my chest. It is the purest example of what real love, in the face of any tradgedy; can do.

My favorite sceen is defenitly the scene where Jack ask Rose to do the honor for him of never letting go. Every time I saw TITANIC I get a lupm in my throat and tears are in my eyes. When I hear the remix song of 'My Heart Will Go On' that has dialouge in it, I hear the scene when Rose promises Jack she will never let go. Even though that was my favorite scene, the whole movie was PERFECT. I hope TITANIC wins as much oscars as possible! Good Luck Leo and Kate!

My favorite scene, hands down, is the third class steerage party. It shows so very clearly that you don't have to have money to be happy! After that scene come the flying scene and the final scene with the shots of Rose's pictures and her "going back to the Titanic."

At the risk of receiving heated e-mails from one and all I think that many of the scenes people have shown to be thier favourites detract from the real stories of The Titanic. Whilst Rose 'flying' and Jack drawing do set the scene for the tragedy of torn love later in the film, they do not aid the portrayal of the real victims of the disaster. People such as a local art teacher who survived as a young girl and never spoke a word for the rest of her eighty years alive. Despite the debate on their tune, my 'favourite' has to be the band. Real men doing what they really did and with a massive emotional effect of the viewer.
