8x10 film availability

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

I am ready to build my own 8x10 view camera, however, I am really worried about film availability.

Does anyone know who (Agfa, Ilford, etc.) make this size of sheet film? What ASA/ISO?

Since we are in the subject...who makes a simple enlarger for 8x10? Inexpensive? Used?

No problem, what speed do you want? Kodak and Ilford sites have the details of what they sell. You may not be able to buy it at "ordinary" photo shops, but any professional supplier will be able to get it for you.

CALUMET HAS BOTH THE ILFORD AND KODAK FILMS. TO ORDER 1-800-367-2781. THEY ARE VERY REPUTABLE, I HAVE HAD EXCELENT LUCK WITH THEM OVER THE PHONE AND IN PERSON. THE LAST KODAK TRI-X THAT I BOUGHT WAS $117. FOR A BOX OF 50, THAT WAS A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO. THE ILFORD WAS IN THE SAME PRICE RANGE.
