C700 Enlarger

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Printing & Finishing : One Thread

I am looking for an enlarger to make 20x30 size B&W prints from medium format negitives. Does any one know if the C700 can do this? Or maybe the Omega B2? Any advice on which enlarger to look for would be appreciated.

Yes i got an c700 and I can make beatiful prints of 30*40 from 35 mm negatives, I tink you can make biger with a biger format.

The Omega C700 is limited to printing an 11x14 on the baseboard with a 6x6 negative and 80mm lens. I understand the Omega 760XL will print larger than 16x20 on the baseboard, but I think you'll have to go with a Besseler 23CXL series to get up to 20x30, and that would probably take at least a 6x7 if not a 6x9 negative. Other options include wall projection--which the C700 will not do--or floor projection, which it will do, if you mount the C700 enlarging head backwards on the column.
