Coinslot Trickery

I've never heard of the cigarette lighter trick before either, but it sounds pretty ingenious.. back in the days when vid games used to be a 'twenny' (thats 20 cents to U.S ppl) me and some mates would do anything to try and get free credits. We tried the straw and paperclip tricks with mixed results, on some older machines you could get away it. But we found out a 90% flaw proof plan for free credits that worked on a lot of slots. We'd get a twenty cent coin and drill a tiny hole in the upper corner, then thread a nylon fishing line through it and tie it around the hole. Then presto, you insert the coin into the slot and just as it reaches the triggering mechanism you pull it out again. I must have saved hundreds using this technique.. it lasted up until the early 90's when games started charging $1 and used a different type of coin slot.
