A Coke and a smile. :)

from Stephen Krogman (skrogman@concentric.net)
Back in the days, a Coke would get me a full days of playing without spending a penny! At least on Nintendo games like DK, DKJR, and Popeye. I would buy a coke with a STRAW, and use it to get me unlimited credits by sticking it in the hinge slightly higher then the coin entry and just move it up and down hitting the credit switch! Another favorite was Galaga, a paperclip in the coin chute worked about 50% of the time. Really, all I needed was 1 credit and that would hold me over for good portion of the day! :) The lighter was a good one. Never heard of that one before. The reason why the screen would invert on Galaga, was because of the spark against the aluminum coin entry. Something similiar to this would be to walk up to a Galaga that's set up on a carpet, and while dragging your feet creating static, once you touched your quarter with the coin entry bezel, it would reset the game! I like to do this on redemption games which will spit out a ticket each time you do it! I've been doing it for about 14 years now, and still don't have enough tickets for that boom box I want! :)

regards,

SMK
