Could the role of Women in the play be removed altogether?

Well ... no. A great deal depends on them. Why do you ask?

because i have to support this statement for a debate against a person who did the exact debate topic last year. I was hoping for just a little help.

I'm sorry, I've thought about it and I just can't see how it could be done. Unless you were to say, well yes you could take women out, and then the events and themes of the play would come out very differently, but of course that doesn't mean it couldn't be done.
