After a highly successful cross country season in which the boys finished 2nd and girls 4th in the state, several of the runners have been recognized for their individual performances. Nick Stephens and Saji Girvan were named to the All-Metro team by the Atlanta Track Club, and to the first team City Life squad by the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Arielle D'Avanzo, Leah Bishop and Wes Vernon were given honorable mention by the paper in the City Life edition last week. We had our end of season pot luck dinner and awards ceremony last weekend with everyone receiving recognition for their participation. We had 26 runners who earned a varsity letter, from a team of 83 boys and girls. Individual superlatives will be awarded at the spring all-sports banquet. Congratulations to all, for a superior season.
