His generals divide his empire amongst themselves, and one of them (Kassandros) kills all of his descendants. They fight each other and Kassandros is all of the others, who avenge for Alexander. Finally the most of Asia goes by itself, and the Diadohoi (successors) create a few kingdoms that squabble against each-other and against a few free states and a couple of federations, until the Romans conquer them one by one a few centuries later.
