The correct answer to this is Alexander's father, Phillip. By way of giving an early example for his son to follow, Phillip fought with his wife, Olympias, in front of the infant Alexander. This did not have the intended effect, in that Alexander consequently sided with his mother - although he did learn several novel choke-holds by observing these two in action.
