We just received word from Pastor Ben Hollins and Presiding Elder Carolyn Guidry that our dearly beloved Presiding Elder Lonnie C. Wormley (Los Angeles District, Southern California Conference, 5th Epsicopal District) passed this morning, April 1, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Please remain in prayer for his family and the entire Southern California Conference.

On behalf of my associate Senator Rev. Dr. Santucci (who is in California today) I would like to extend deepest sympathies to the family of Presiding Elder Wormly. While only meeting him on two occasions I pray Gods tender mercies for his family now and thorugh this difficult time.
