The only major influence of Alexander "the great" was the influence he had on Hephaestions behind.

He had quite a bit of impact, actually. Coins are still made with his figure on them in parts of what used to be the Persian Empire. Alexander also brought the Hellenic influence to the East. In some parts of India, there are people with ancient Macedonian ancestry due to some of his soldiers settling down.
