I have two F4 bodies (an F4s of 219xxxx and an F4e of 244xxxx). Does anyone know why the F4e; with higher serial number (logically later production) using NiCd battery has autofocus system noticeably much slower and less sensitive than the F4s powered by alkaline AAs? Did Nikon put different AF system to certain F4 models? Or is it just my bad luck?
