Grady Softball Update

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Grady Cyberspace Project - Real News : One Thread

This past week was a busy one for the Grady softball team. We traveled to Blessed Trinity on Tuesday and were somewhat outmatched by a very fast pitcher. We came close to scoring when Jessica Caldas reached third in the 3rd inning, but that was as close as we got.

On Thursday we played APS team, Douglass, at Southside Park. As the earlier APS games were, this one was highly competitive. The Grady girls jumped out to a ten run lead in the top of the first. Douglass chipped away, however, and the game was tied 10-10 after two innings. Grady plated two runs in the top of the third, but it wasn't enough as Douglass ended the game with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the inning. The time limit at Southside was again a problem, keeping us from playing anywhere near a full game.

Please come out to cheer our competitors next Tuesday at 5:00 PM at Southside against Pace!
