Alexander the Great was mummified and the body prepared to be taken to Makedon. However, Ptolemy "kidnapped" the body and took it to Egypt, where it remained on public view for a long, long time. It was secreted away during the time that Christians were razing everything to do with the pagan world, and is thought to be hidden in Alexandria even today. However, it's hiding place may well have become inundated with water now, like "Cleopatra's palace", and hopefully, the body has disintegrated, since finding Alexander's body could well lead to more chaos among those nations who claim Alexander as their own. There is a myth attached to Alexander that whoever holds the body holds his power, and many nations as well as private individuals want to have possession of it. Regards, Sikander

They put him in a little box
and covered him all over with dirt and rocks

aside from that reportedly they killed many of the witnesses so very few people knew where he was buried or that might have been Changez Khan Alex Burial
