greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

My wife and I were saddened to learn of the passing of the Reverend D.V.Payi Pator of Mount Zion AME Chuch. Reverend D.V Payi was an ordained minister in the Kalahari Annual Conference ( 15th Episcopal District)He has served the church faithfully and has been a delegate to several general conferences and general board meetings of the AME Church. we join with his colleagues in the kalahari to mourn his demise. His contribution to the development of the African Methodist Episcopal Church is acknowledged with deep appreciation.

It is our prayer that Mrs Mavis Payi and Family and extended family will be comforted by the presence of God and the grace of His Spirit during this time of bereavement Be reminded,Also that the Rt.Rev Gregory Ingram Prelate of the 15th Episcoapl District is in our prayers as we continue in faith to ask God for his complete recovery in south Africa. May we be reminded today as believers that God’s grace is sufficient for every need and circumstance. May our faith be renewed as we make our way through “the valley of the shadow of death.”

Mrs. Moipone Gaobepe joins me in extending heartfelt prayer to the family of our Bishop( Bishop Ingram)and our condolences to Rev Van Neel and rev Payi's Family. We pray and hope that the 15th District family will be comforted in this period of grief.

Yours in christ. Rev Gaobepe Dimpho

The St Thomas AME Church joins you in prayers during this trying moment.Indeed all all of us would have loved to have the man of God with us to witness the transition of leadership in Africa and other overseas districts.Since all things happen at a time God has purposed, we give Him the glory, honor and praise for all of the good legacy left by His man servant.May his soul rest in eternal peace.
