SARS on VCD

Don't buy VCDs imported from Hong Kong. Someone with SARS could have had contact with it.

and the ignorance rolls on......

I believe sars has to be in LIVING cellular contact with humans to be considered "a carrier", i dont believe it can be harbored in inanimate objects, theres no need to spread fear and paranoia on a hunch....

a correction on my part.....

Researchers from around the world released studies today on the life span of the SARS virus. This scientific network was organized by the World Health Organization. Data shows how long the microbe can live in various places and conditions.

- Germany -24 hrs on plastic surfaces at room temp. Similar results from Hong Kong. -commonly used detergent doesn't work -US to study many disinfectants against virus - Hong Kong -4 days in human waste (longer in diarrhea because of lower acidity)

- Japan -Sars dies at 98.6F and above -SARS viable indefinitely at 32F and below - similar results from Beijing

- Results in days from Singapore and Hong Kong on virus surviving at diff temp, in blood, humidity, and on metal, paper, plastic, cotton.

Regardless, even if you do order something, chances are 99.98% that you will NOT get SARS..... this is just outright paranoia
