Believe it or not, Alexander broke in with the incredibly popular boy band, The Companions. Although tight harmonies were the group's trademark, Alexander played the sarrissa and tambor as well as sang. Later he took his act solo and went gold with his next 12 albums in a row! Some of top hit singles were One Man's Mede Is Another Man's Persian, Gaugemela Rock, Across the Wide Granicus, Hit 'Em Where They Live, and By the Flank, Right. He was great!
