choosing a better lens

which one among the following two is a better one for a minolta mount. SIGMA 28-300 mm F3.5-6.3 Aspherical compact hyperzoom and the new Tamron 28-300 mm F 3.5-6.5 XR LD aspherical macro ultrazoom

I've used the Tamron 28-210mm XR LD for more than 6 months on my Minolta Dynax 404si. I'm very satisfied with it, for its compactness and the results. I've never tried SIGMA, so can't comment on it, but surely you can't go wrong with SIGMA lens.
