is there any way of playing ps2 games on the dreamcast e.g a ps2 emulator for the dreamcast.

I don't think the Dreamcast has the capability to emulate the PS2. Older consoles like the Snes and Megadrive can be emulated though and the associated emulators are being improved all the time, despite the Dreamcast's demise.

there is a emulater it is on overnet 1st download overnet off overnet.com and install then on the search type playstation emulator or playstation2 emulator

There is no PS2 emulators yet. Not even for pc, so how do you expect one for dreamcast.
