Help!-Looking for home with acreage.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I would truly appreciate any help you great people could give me in finding a country home. I'm quite open to where I would live, but truly love the south. I have a great deal of relatives in the midwest so that would also be an option. I don't care about living in some grand structure; however, I do want a place where I can raise animals and have a modest garden. If someone would be interested in carrying a note that would be wonderful-no credit problem-just tired of putting money into the pockets of the rich. Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully someone out there has a home for someone who truly appreciates the simple things in life.

This post is from the Bulletin Board:

Hi guys, I am selling my mini farm because I have gotten a job offer elsewhere and must leave ASAP. I WISH I did not, because it is a beautiful place, and I probably will never get another house and piece of land as gorgeous as this one, but I need to go to my job. This is the PERFECT place to Homestead!!! Here is the information on the place. :) I have it for sale for $148,000 for the house and the entire 8 acres more or less. (This has been lowered from $250,000 when I had it listed with Prudential) I owe $87,000 on it, 6% interest loan, Non Assumable, but I will write a seller's bond so you can just move in and start making payments of $589.35 on the $87,000 one if you want. There is a second owed on it as well, for $11,000 which has to be paid on closing. The rest is all Equity. All closing costs will be on the buyer. I will consider a trade for a large Motor home for my Equity, or a 4-5 bedroom house in Maine (preferred) or anywhere! Here is the description of the Farm: Secluded Old Southern area. Huge Old Growth Trees, Singing Brook, Dogwoods, Wild grapes. All level land. Wonderful neighbors, tested safe well, excellent schools, easy commute to city jobs, low taxes. NO restrictions! Raise Horses, Dogs, whatever you want here! And a running stream, you will never run out of water. No building restrictions either. This is prime South Carolina Property. On the Golden Strip.

A real Mini Farm, just what you have been looking for! Sit on your front porch, and listen to the trees whisper to the birds, and hear them sing back to them! *** **** *** !!!!!! NEW (2000) almost 2,500sq foot house + 8 acres adjoining it..!!! 5 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, skylights, vaulted ceilings, jetted tub, double shower, HUGE kitchen, fridge, washer, dryer, stove, dishwasher, fireplace, 2 decks, picnic area, Singing Brook, window treatments, all go with. Furniture is available too, on a separate contract.

There is an enormous rose bush to the right (facing the house) of the front door with pie plate size red roses on it almost year round. Wisteria in the trees, dogwoods, all that. The town I am in has an Azalea Trail, flowers bloom here year round. A perfect place to retire. You can smell flowers in the air everywhere you drive, (this is TRUE!) and see the mountains blue in the distance. A beautiful place to live! Figs and Mimosa trees grow wild here! 864-409-8659 Here are the directions to get to the house: From Greenville, SC: Highway 85 to 385. Go South 10 minutes to Exit 22 (Old Laurens Road) Go down off the exit, come to the stop sign and turn RIGHT Go across a RR tracks, to the first 4 way (there will NOT be a stop sign in your direction) That is Abercrombie Road Turn RIGHT Go to the first road to the left, which is Conway Drive Turn LEFT This is a short cul de sac. Go almost to the end, look to the left. Do NOT go into the circle, look for a black Mailbox with 261 on it. It will have my sign hanging underneath. Turn left into the 500 foot driveway. There is a chair in the driveway as a marker. Gray house with a red door.

If you buy the house, we can get an attorney to draw up the sale papers. There is no realtor involved yet. However, I am being pressured to list the property, and if I do, the price will go up to cover her fee.

There are many nice properties available in the Madison Co. area of Alabama . This is where Huntsville is.
