MBA

I have got admission to the Columbia Exec MBA program. As my employer would not pay for an 'Executive' program, I am considering applying to the part-time MBA at NYU, which they might pay for. Could any one help me analyze the pros and cons, apart from the money

I assume that you prefer the Columbia program, and reimbursement is the only issue. If that is so, have you considered asking your employer if they will reimburse an amount equal to the cost of the NYU program? You may be able to cover at least a part of the difference with various financial aid options, and if the program is much better, you may recoup your expense pretty quickly.

One thing caught my eye, however -- WHY won't your company pay for an executive program? You might want to clarify this if you haven't already -- it would be good to know sooner (rather than later, at the cost of lost time and effort and disruption of plans) if an impassible ceiling exists at your company.
