There are as many answers to your question as there are USDA Zones. Here are two: High Desert - Yes. PNW Coast - No (well, maybe for 6 months, then it will dissolve into your patio). Give us a hint.

I'm in central Texas. One spot on my property is a very old junk pile. I recently found that there is a wood stove there, which has probably been sitting outside for at least twenty years, possibly more than thirty years. It appears to be still in usable condition.
