I'M SORRY, but your asking for the golden years of Countryside. You may indeed find them. I have seen them given away for postage on this forum two years ago. I consider the ones I have as priceless ! Anything after January 2001 makes good firestarter and the value is zilch !

I hope that you can find some, but you'd have to arm-wrestle me to get ANY of my oldies!

Can't part with any of mine either! They take up a lot of space, but they are so much fun to re-read. Maybe you could post on the Barter Board on Lusenet, (if you don't have any luck here.) There might be someone willing to share. Best wishes!

Have mine back to the the year 1981 ...and the Dairy Goat Guides that use to be published also. Was thinking of giving mine away but my husband said " NO !!" so I guess we are moving with them and all the old MENS since issue #1 also. Things have really changed over the years..especially land prices..should have bought more way back then ! I think even the issues of late are wonderful...guess everyone doesn't agree. Could look on E-bay auction or run an ad in the MENS and Countryside. Just might find some for sale. Good Luck !!

Boy sounds like those "oldies" are prized possessions for some of you. I guess that confirms my belief that there are probably some good articles in them.

Others of you sound as if the new ones are not nearly as good (if I am understanding) but I thought the articles on the website were very good, and figured the book must be even better! What is the difference between now and then?? THANKS FOR THE REPLIES!!

I have about 150 copies dating back to 1975 . I dont know what to ask for them, but I am getting old and will probably have to move to a smaller place as we can no longer keep up our present home . Please make me an offer . Big George
