Differential diagnosis of over 7,000 diseases by Cornell Veterinary

I came across this internet resource, seems like a good reference source and thought that I would pass it along.

Consultant, http://www.lib.utk.edu/agvet/veterinary/guidecon.html "......is an online textbook of differential diagnosis " (1)that covers 7,000 diseases of 8 species (canine, feline, porcine, ovine, caprine, bovine, avian, equine). In use since 1983, it is the longest lived, most comprehensive computer-assisted diagnostic tool. It also functions as an online textbook, when searched by diagnosis, providing easy access to the veterinary literature. There is no charge to search CONSULTANT. It is a non-profit service supported by the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine.

HOW TO USE: CONSULTANT is easy to use and can be searched two ways: 1) by sign-- by entering one or two clinical signs, it will return an unranked list of possible causes, and 2) by diagnosis. Both searches will provide a very current disease summary with citations to articles. New information is added weekly, filtered for quality and clinical importance. Cited articles give good overviews of treatments and are chosen with practitioners in mind.
