Just moving it over. I was thinking it would have dried fruit.

My best guess

wheat berries - most likely soaked and cooked Seasonings For a main meal I would think the heavier flavors such as sage or rosemary even oregano.

Onions, mushrooms, peas, carrots and any left over meat if you had it but thinking that the wheat berries become the meat replacer.

For a desert then the typical pumpkin or spice seasonings like cinnamon, all spice, nutmeg, and cloves, sugar.

In a wheat flour crust.

am I close?

Wheat berry pie? This is a joke, right? Does she know that wheat berries and whole, unground wheat are one and the same?

Yes she knows, I have been trying to think of things that would work for one, like if I was on the farm and food was low and I had plenty of unground wheat, what would I put with it to make it more palatable. Apples and rasins are about all I can think of, and I think I would have to get real hungery to eat much of it.
