Where can I find Angel Investors for a Traditional Native American Dancer?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : What keeps you up at night? : One Thread

I am trying to raise a small amount of money to help a Traditional Dancer of the Comanche People. His dream is to be able to buy a van so that he and his wife can travel to the many US Pow Wows where he can compete for cash proses. He is on the cover of the National Geographic's 'Native American Dance and Heretage' book, the state of Oklahoma's tourism posters and brochures and, his photographic image is in the Smithsonian and New York Metropolitan Museum of Art. His image appears on a best selling t-shirt which he has been ripped off by a non-native artist. Ideally, I would hope to develop a new T-shirt and other products with his name and likeness for he and his wife to sell -- on the web, through distributors and at Pow Wows and other public appearances. Comanche John has never smoked, drank or even cussed. He is one of the finest and humblest Men I have ever known. He is very poor and has few work opportunities in rural Oklahoma where he lives. I have been helping them get through car problems and bills but, am now in trouble myself. I have searched the Web for every trace of small business loans, grants -- anything and have found nothing. I see opportunity for anyone associated with this wonderful National Treasure of a human being. His image is profound, everyone who sees him becomes transfixed. This is why the t-shirt has been a top seller (for someone else). I have attorneys volunteering to stop the t-shirt but, they tell me recovery is difficult. Pleased let me know if you can think of any resources I might have missed. Feel free to contact me and I will send you a photo. I would like to find $10,000 to get him going with a used van, $10,000 toward a years living expenses and $10,000 in trade goods inventory (manufacture his own t-shirt). Blessings
