How do I keep my team's ideas from being buried in corporate politics?

I work for a company that manufactures and markets vitamin and nutritional supplements. Our company has recently named a new CEO and has undergone a subsequent management change. Our group, which focuses on consumer and business-based Web solutions has gone largely unnoticed by upper management, although our projects have caused quite a stir in the lower ranks. Much of our company is plagued by a tremendous disorganization that has brought it almost to a standstill, yet our group has produced far in excess of others. The caveat is that a Director in another department has jumped on our bandwagon and claimed success for ideas and we're in danger of being housed in his department. The problem is that he has had no involvement with us and has actually given more resistance than help. How do we break free of him and get our ideas to the top, where they'll hopefully get some notice?
