Yeah!! It's raining!

It's early this year, but it's raining!!! This means the annual spring 'snow removal' system has kicked in. Rain all day yesterday, and now today as well means the snow is going down very quickly. Unfortunately, it also means that all our driveways and our road as well, are like glass. No going out for anything today. I was down to the coop to take water and get the eggs. Only fell once! Thank goodness it was on the way down (yes it's downhill) with the water, not on the way back up with the eggs! I can see the top of my nest spruce in one flower bed, and the top of my echinacea in another. The pond is still frozen, but it is also like a sheet of glass - no snow left on top. This usually doesn't happen until the first of April. Yeah. I'd better go check for flooding out the side of the house. I just hope it says warm. If the temperature drops now we're in a world of hurt. Spring really is coming. Have a wonderful day all.

We had vertually no snow this winter in Minnesota, but rain yesterday, now a blizzard this morning, can't see anything. Not deep snow, but it's piled up where the trees are.

Hi Bernie it snowed yesterday here in Nova Scotia, but it all left again today. It actually hit 16 C this afternoon! I remember visiting an Aunt in Kapaskasing as a child and it snowed about a foot on Easter weekend and I lost my rubber boots in the snow. I hope spring really is coming for you, mild and gentle.

Well, it's rained all day, and windy. The power was out for nearly two hours (that's why we have a gas stove, lots of lanterns and a generator on hand). But now there's a flash freeze warning out. Lovely. That means altered plans for tomorrow. TV church instead of 'real', no grocery shopping, no band practice and no dinner at Mom's. Hmmmm. No more Yeah from here!
