Finding lost country friends

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

We used to be friends with a lovely couple in Arkansas. We lived near Sugarloaf Mountain, near Ft. Smith, AK.

They had goats & chickens and a lush and fruitful garden. When we left, we gave them just about all of household possessions and our animals, and numerous veggie & fruit plants.

It's been at least 18 years since then, and all I remember is there first names, Don & Ginger. They were not married at the time, but as well as I can recall, where going to do so. They were Mother Earther types, and I'm hoping, they went to Countryside.

I'd love to get re-aquainted with these folks, and share some old time memories and share some new ones.

Feel free to contact me at micheleb@aol.com And if anyone has a suggestion on how I could contact these folks via internet or other means, would be greatly appreciated.

You might try sending a letter to the last address that you know of. Address it to current occupant(sp?) and explain who you're looking for and ask them if they would happen to know them or where they might have moved to. That would give you a start, maybe.

I don't know if this is the right sugar mountain but I always look at this web page of somone in the Ozarks on Sugar Mountain. Maybe they would know who you are looking for if it is a small area. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ridge/7363/Homesteading/ourhomestea d.html
