How do you move the toolbar from the side of the screen to the bottom?

Answers

move cursor to it.

click and HOLD

move cursor and bar to where you want it.

unhold the click

If it doesn't move, RIGHT click on the toolbar and see if it is set to lock. un-set it if so.

I am sorry I can't help you. I have moved mine but I sure dont't remember how. Its just soooo nice to know that I am not the only computer illiterate one out there. Thanks!

Bo, you must see the little two sided arrow before you click and drag with your cursor. If you take it too far down it will disappear all together (we just won't go in to how I know that right now) so be sure and drop it before you get your arrow all the way down to the bottom of the screen.

Yep, click and drag while holding the mouse button is the usual procedure. You may need to experiment with which part of the toolbar to drag - varies some with software.

Diane, your toolbar didn't REALLY disappear - it just shrank down to the teeniest little skinny line one pixel or so wide at the bottom of the screen. When it's done that, you can either pick it up by the top edge (click and drag) and drag it up until it's thicker; or if you hover your mouse pointer over it after a while it will loom up at you like something out of Alien. Disconcerting, but if you NEED the screen real-estate for something else (say working on pictures) it can be useful.

Don, I "keep" mine disappeared all the time now. Just "discovered" it by accident, that you could do that.........thought I had totally lost it. Got a bunch of books out etc. and finally called my son. In retrospect, it is funny!!!
