Does anyone have any experience with haflinger horses? My husband and I have worked a team of Belgians in the past and were pleased with the results. However, we now live in Kentucky and parts of our property are a bit steep. We have read that haglingers are very sure footed and gentle in nature. That would be a plus here. We also didn't want such a big breed of draft horse this time. Any input? jean

I'm interested in Haflingers too, I think they'd be the perfect homestead team. I wouldn't need a full size team either. I've handled one Haflinger gelding, he was very quiet but I never drove or pulled with him. They're becoming more popular in my area now so I may have more info soon.Stacy in NY
