I never heard of anyone thinking such a thing. You would think with eight years of service time one would have, but than Admirals don't keep the ships afloat...sailors do. There is a big differance between the BRASS and the Sailor, just as between the banker and the homesteader. I served from 1954 to 1962 and went three times to the South Pole on Operation Deepfreeze numbers 1,2&3. Anyone from the USS Wyandot that reads this,,,please contact me.
