We are moving soon and since our landlady is old and her chillins' are no doubt going to sell the place for McVillages as soon as they get their hands on it, we feel sure that when we leave, any plantings we leave will be trashed - if not this year, then not to far along, anyway. We can't take them all (believe me, we've been trying to figure out how for months), so here's the deal -

Is there anyone who lives in the Central NC area (we live about 10 min. south of Fuquay Varina, which is about 40 min south of Raleigh, off HWY 42) who would like any of the following:

Day Lillies - Probably upward of fifty clumps of varying sizes in varying types of dirt (from friable to near pavement).

Dutch Iris - yellow, 30 plants, maybe.

Yellow cannas - Oodles, tightly packed.

Yarrow - handful, varying colors.

Small silver birch - trunk maybe 2" diameter. This could be easily removed with a little work. The root system is still small.

Curly willow - this is a biggish tree, mayber 6" diam. trunk. Would take big tools and much work to get it out, but (knowing willows) would most likely survive the trip. Seriously gorgeous specimen tree when it greens up, like a weeping willow with a curly perm. Recently pruned. Also, could be trimmed a little for cuttings

Odds and ends of peppermint and pineapple mint, good for teas. Cuttings or plants, although there is a decent amount of quack grass involved, so cuttings are probably safest.

Also have over a dozen assorted tomato cages/towers built of square-hole wire fencing. 5' tall, about 1 1/2 to 2 feet diamenter (about 6' circumference).

About 200', more or less, 3'-high chain link fence in rough, but servicable, condition.

This is a "you pick" sort of operation. We're just going to leave them in the ground unless someone decides they want them - too many other things to do. We have already gotten what we can take with us up (or will soon).

The chain link is up (around the dogs, at present), but hubby wants the posts. He'd help pull the fence off if anyone wants it. Otherwise, it'll probably be here, straggled out on the "lawn", for the next tenents to wrestle with!

Good God Sure wish I lived closer to you when we moved from our home of 13 years it was sure hard to leave all my flowers and now wanting to beautifulize up my new home... but soo expensive... Good luck in moving its the pits wish you enough Jacque
