Submitting articles to CS

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I've been considering submission of a couple articles to CS and wonder if anyone has submitted via e-mail. Pros and cons?? Time is at a premium lately, so thought e-ing would save a bit.

Thank You

Hi Randle, I've written for Countryside, as well as many other goat-related publications, and I always submit via email...just make sure it's a word document when you send (.doc). I typically request permission to submit via email initially, then send the document in another message. Most editors love it...as you say, saves time, can easily be edited if necessary,etc... much easier! :) Patty Prairie Oak Miniatures http://www.minifarm.com/prairie_oak http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Littlegoats moderator

E-mail is fine, however, Anne-Marie did ask me to send her standard photographs to accompany my last submission instead of e-mail pics.

Don't write on the back of photographs with ink which will bleed through. It causes Anne-marie to have to take them to a photo program to clean them up. Best way is to type out what they are, then tape it to the back. Anne-marie will return originals.
