Info on Sun Frost Refrigerators (Alternate Energy)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Would like info from users of large (19,16,12 cu ft) Sun Frost Refigerators. Are you pleased with the performance of the appliance? Does it save as much evergy as the ads say? Do you feel the frig is worth the price? How long did it take for you to get yours(ad in Lehman's says allow several months for delivery)? Any info would be greatly appreciated. A Sun Frost is a big investment and I'd like for it to be a wise one. Thank you in advance for your help.

backwoodssolar.com has a listing with for sale by owner parts. Last time I checked they had a few used ones at pretty good prices.

I have found a couple of old propane servel fridges and use them. They are practically bulletproof and pretty cheap when you can find them. I got my last one at a used appliance store for 125.00. It is in excellent shape...the only problem is that they weigh a ton
